Our Story

Midway Christian Academy was birthed out of prayer and a calling for community ministry at Midway Baptist Church. After much prayer the church felt led to answer the call!  The heart of the church is to reach and teach the children about Jesus and to impart knowledge needed to be strong and successful Christ filled leaders in this world.

The work began in 2021 to prepare for the coming school in 2022.  The church was ready to move forward and eager to get started.  The church opened its doors to host a Bible based after school program for the first time in August of 2021.  The Midway After School Program has been a success and a blessing to all those involved! Please see our testimonials below.  After School was just the beginning of what God wanted to do at Midway and in our community!  Not only will the After School Program continue, we are eager to serve daily in our K12 Midway Christian Academy!

The academy will serve the surrounding communities with hopes and God sized dreams to expand and grow year after year.  Our children are our future, and we desire to help strengthen our children in the Lord Jesus Christ and provide a Christ centered environment for higher learning!

At MCA, we make it a priority to provide a well-rounded academic, Christ world-view education infused each day with Christian values and beliefs. We aim to provide the advantage of learning in a diverse and nurturing community, where the process of teaching is tailored to each student.

Students at our school develop a rich spiritual identity with a foundation to become self-confident and driven adults with an eternal thirst for knowledge and understanding of the God they serve. We understand the importance of educating not just the mind, but the spirit of each student.

Meet Midway Baptist Church

What We Stand For

Midway Christian Academy is a nonprofit ministry of Midway Baptist Church. The first Midway Baptist Church was organized in August of 1965 by Rev. L.H. Lovelace, and it all started in a three-room house.  Over the years the church has continued to grow not only in structure and physical space, but also in heart and spirit!  The church now has the original sanctuary built in 1969, a fellowship hall, and a larger sanctuary added in 2009.

Rev. Mark Dellinger now is the lead shepherd at Midway Baptist Church and has served in this role since 2018.  He believes in holding true to the Bible and the Word of God.  This is the same message the church wants to share with the children, the community and the world at large.

MBC wholeheartedly believes, the Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God's revelation of Himself to man. It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter. Therefore, all Scripture is totally true and trustworthy. It reveals the principles by which God judges us, and therefore is, and will remain to the end of the world, the true center of Christian union, and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions should be tried. All Scripture is a testimony to Christ, who is Himself the focus of divine revelation.

OUR AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM TESTIMONIALS

The Hoyle Family

"The after-school program has been a blessing for our family. It has provided my son who is an only child the opportunity to be around other children his age outside of school. They have made a huge impact on his life in a Christian way as well and brought his walk with God even closer, though we attend church on Sundays he has learned so much more through the stories and scripture the adults have shared with him in the afternoons. He has learned everything from new foods through snack time to how to tie his shoes with the preacher who apparently is a better teacher than us parents. On days I would be able to pick him up early a lot of the time he hasn't been ready to go home just yet, asking for just one more minute to kick the ball with Mrs. Macy or "can you come after 4:30 we have a craft or homework time and my teachers there help me". We are truly blessed to have met these teachers and up and coming school."

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.

John 14:6
